What is it?

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on practice meaning a state of balance within our energy body. Reiki is a gentle way of healing, but it is extremely efficient. It will nourish the mind, body and spirit of the receiver.

What can you expect from your reiki treatment?

During a session the energy emanating through a practitioner's hands is concentrated for healing the chakras and any particular regions of the body. Reiki can be utilized for many healing purposes. During a session many different forms of release may occur, most commonly laughing or crying. This practice is beneficial for anyone at any age and is a great way to begin your healing journey.

Reiki facilitates in detoxifying the body, an aid to ease illness, removing physical and energetic blockages as well as releasing negative and unserving emotions. It can refresh, revitalize and enhance creativity as well as building a new relationship within yourself and your connection with the world around you.

I hold Certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga as well as Yoga Therapy for Anxiety.

I have the knowledge and training to create classes or events built around Trauma Informed & Yoga Therapy teachings to help foster healing.

If you are a Therapist, Health Care Provider , A Grieving/Trauma Group/Organization or An individual having gone through trauma or are in the midst of it, this will help create not only healthier patterns , but also promote healing.

Price is for individual but can provide prices for groups according to size. I can also provide mats, props etc.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga has foundations in trauma theory, attachment theory, and neuroscience as automatically engage our animal defenses which are fight, flight, freeze, submit or attach to help us survive. If we experience repeated traumas there can be lasting effects on our body and as deep roots in yoga. At the moment of trauma our sympathetic and parasympathetic is impacted moving us into hyperarousal or hypoarousal. We are wired to a system which makes yoga a healing modality to help address the body's memories of the trauma.

The breath is the vehicle for helping to regulate. Trauma sensitive yoga aims to cultivate awareness of the mind-body connection and build self-regulation skills to address the ways in which trauma is held in the body.
